Migrating from several legacy warehouses to a new facility, requiring detailed design and new processes. Project management of the procurement, fit-out and IT integration as well as transition.
Puma has been operating across several smaller warehouse locations and with growth continuing, further external storage has been needed resulting in inter-site shuttling
They needed a warehouse solution to accommodate growth, and deliver improved productivities through the development of new ways of working and layout
Bis Henderson led the detailed design of the new 250k sqft facility near Wakefield, working closely with Puma to identify optimum layout, warehouse flows, and use of mechanisation to handle projected volumes. We also led the Business Requirements Definition (BRD) to define systems processes to enable the WMS to be configured to support the new operation
Puma appointed Bis Henderson to project manage the entire implementation process and manage the procurement of all capital on its behalf, as well as providing all of the facility safe ways of working protocols via CDM regulations, and liaising with insurers, and local authorities
By using Bis Henderson’s warehouse operations and design expertise, Puma has been able to create a new facility that provides optimum operating methodologies and layouts
Puma has been able to concentrate on delivering the day to day operation whilst utilising our experience across every aspect of the implementation and fit-out process, providing Puma with an integrated solution. The solution has been delivered to time and budget and minimal impact to business as usual
